Bringing Oman's Heritage to the World

Ministry of Heritage and Tourism | ITB Berlin Opening Ceremony 2024
The Change They Needed

The Ministry of Tourism and Heritage entrusted us with the task of conceptualizing and organizing the grand opening ceremony for ITB Berlin 2024. This event aimed to position Oman as a premier touristic destination on a global stage, aligning with the nation's Vision 2040 goals for sustainable tourism and cultural promotion.

The Change in Action

Our strategy focused on showcasing Oman's rich cultural heritage and natural beauty to a global audience. We planned to leverage ITB Berlin's platform to highlight Oman's evolving infrastructure, digitalization efforts, and commitment to eco-tourism and wildlife conservation. Emphasis was placed on presenting Oman as a secure and modern destination with historical depth and diplomatic significance in the region.

The grand opening ceremony featured over 250 global team members, including performances by the renowned Royal Oman Symphony Orchestra and traditional Omani folk dancers. Singers and musicians captivated the audience, while a 105-meter screen displayed Oman's breathtaking landscapes, blending tradition with cutting-edge technology for an immersive experience. The event seamlessly integrated cultural performances with digital presentations to portray Oman's unique charm and appeal.

The Change We Made

The ITB Berlin 2024 grand opening ceremony successfully positioned Oman as a preferred touristic destination on the global stage. The captivating performances and immersive displays highlighted Oman's cultural richness and natural landscapes, garnering significant attention from international attendees. The event contributed to enhancing Oman's reputation as a secure, modern, and culturally vibrant destination, aligning closely with Vision 2040 objectives. Overall, ITB Berlin provided a pivotal platform for Oman to showcase its commitment to sustainability, culture, and innovation in tourism, setting a strong foundation for future growth and engagement in the global tourism market.
